Team members will travel to and from the gala by coach, meeting at Ulverston pool at 10.30am for departure at 11am prompt. Seats on the coach will be available for parents on a first come, first served basis at a cost of £5 each.
If you wish to drive up to watch the gala you may of course bring your swimmer home by car – please ensure the coaches are aware of the arrangement and you have fixed a place to meet your child at Workington Leisure Centre, which will be really busy after the gala. Otherwise swimmers should be collected back at Ulverston pool at 7pm approx.

Level 3 Open Gala highly recommended for Ulverston swimmers age 9+ on the day.
50m and 100m all strokes plus 100m & 200m Individual Medley. Please ask your child’s coach for advice on which races to enter.

Long Course gala suitable for ages 9/over. National qualifiers may not compete. This gala is usually over subscribed and slowest swimmers are then excluded so you may not get all the swims you’ve entered. Don’t book accommodation until entries are confirmed. NO TRAINING SESSIONS FROM MONDAY 6TH AUGUST TO MONDAY 20TH AUGUST INCLUSIVE. No morning training from Monday 20th August to Sunday 2nd September. Full session programme resumes Monday 3rd September.
Please watch out for emails over the holiday period in case we need to cancel sessions at short notice due to coaches’ availability.
