If you are not a member but you (or your child) are interested in competitive swimming, you’ve come to the right place! Ulverston Otters (Ulverston Amateur Swimming Club) has been established for well over one hundred years – originally galas were held in the canal. We have eight squads covering the full range of ages and abilities and our senior swimmers can expect to compete both regionally and nationally. We run three weekends of licenced Club Championship galas here at Ulverston pool as well as galas for our younger (8/under) swimmers. Our swimmers who are aged 9 and over can compete at galas within Cumbria, the County Championships and also further afield e.g. Manchester, Leeds and Sunderland. We also enter teams into two leagues – the Cumbria Diddy League for age 9-11 and the North West Arena League for age 9 and above.
The Club is run by a volunteer army of swim coaches, swim teachers, parent helpers and committee and we hope that parents of swimmers will get involved with helping the Club in some capacity.
