Swimmers travel by coach from Ulverston Leisure Centre leaving at 12.20pm promptly, £5 contribution to the cost. There will be some seats available for family @ £5 each – first come first served, alternatively parents can collect swimmers at Workington after the gala or from Ulverston Leisure Centre.
Interassociation Gala (North West region). Cumbria team for ages 11-14 (end of 2017), team selection by Cumbria ASA based on licenced times, team to be announced around 5th May.

Events are 100m and 200m all strokes, 200m IM, 4x50m medley relay and 8x50m mixed freestyle relay.

Summer Presentation Evening for the awards gained at the Challenge Gala and a host of other awards, disco, games etc. Pie n Peas – please order in advance from Rosemary or Ruth.
Poolside coach will be Ruth Parker.

Level 3 gala with upper and lower limit times. Please discuss with your child’s coach before entering. Caroline Boyle will be on poolside.
There will be no swim training between 30th July and 9th August inclusive. During the rest of August evening sessions will run as normal, mornings: Monday, Friday and Saturday by invitation only. (not bank holiday Monday). Enjoy the break and come back refreshed and ready to go!

Level 3 gala with all distances/strokes over 3 days – Friday evening 800m and 1500m events only.
Recommended gala for all swimmers 9 and over; please talk to your child’s coach about which events to enter. There is no need to stay for the whole weekend if you don’t wish to, just choose events accordingly. UASC will have several coaches & helpers on poolside for the whole weekend and there will be groups of swimmers/parents staying in local hotels – please ask any committee member for hotel recommendations. Lead poolside coach will be Caroline Boyle.
