NEW EVENT – for swimmers aged 8/under and Pre-pups, Pups and Snow Otters 9/over
PROVISIONAL DETAILS – TO BE CONFIRMED.
This is an unlicenced gala comprising 25m races, all strokes, for age 8/under and 50m races, all strokes for age 9/over plus 100IM for all ages.
The purpose of the gala is to give racing experience to our youngest and newest members.
Free entry will be by a list on the noticeboard; please check with your child’s coach before entering butterfly, breaststroke or Individual Medley to ensure that they are able to swim the stroke legally.
Ribbons will be awarded to the fastest 6 swimmers in each age group for each event.
Parents are very welcome to watch the racing from poolside or from the foyer but please note that swimmers must stay with the team until they are finished and go to get changed.
UASC are not entering the League this year
100m individual all strokes and 4x50m relays medley & freestyle, 200 IM and 6 x 50m cannon relay.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS GALA HAS LOWER QUALIFYING TIMES (“CONSIDERATION TIMES”) WHICH ARE QUITE FAST (AIMED AT COUNTY LEVEL SWIMMERS AND ABOVE) AND NUMBERS WILL BE RESTRICTED BY REMOVING THE SLOWEST SWIMMERS – PLEASE CHECK THE T’S AND C’S CAREFULLY BEFORE ENTERING AND DO NOT BOOK ANY ACCOMMODATION UNTIL YOUR ENTRY HAS BEEN ACCEPTED AND CONFIRMED.

long distance session on the Friday and splitting the day up into smaller 3 smaller sessions.

LONG COURSE – FIRST COME FIRST SERVED therefore you are advised not to book accommodation until your swimmer’s entry has been confirmed.
Entries are now open but at the moment there is not a UASC coach scheduled to attend so please contact secretary@uasc.me.uk if you are interested in entering your swimmer – you can go poolside with your own child if you have DBS and Safeguarding certification.

Level 3 Gala for swimmers 9 and above – upper limits apply. Last chance to get County Age Group qualifying times at a Level 3 gala. This is a recommended gala for UASC swimmers. Ask other parents for hotel recommendations near Workington if you are staying all weekend. Do not use Satnav to get to the pool – it will take you to the old one which closed last year!
