We are again hosting a coffee morning at the Coronation Hall, we could do with cakes, bric a brac, tombola and raffle prizes please! This is a great fundraiser for the club.
This is another Level 2 highly competitive meet where the consideration times are even harder to achieve than the Wigan BEST gala on the same weekend. Please read the terms and conditions carefully before entering and do not book accommodation until your entries have been accepted.

Level 2 short course gala suitable for faster swimmers aiming for Regional qualifying times. Please read terms and conditions very carefully: each event has consideration times (your swimmer must have a faster pb than these) and swimmers will be accepted into the gala giving preference to faster swimmers so, if the gala is oversubscribed, slower swimmers will be rejected even if they are faster than the consideration times shown. Please ask if you are unclear on this.

NORMAL TRAINING WILL RUN FROM 5PM – 6PM for those who are not competing.
All strokes 50m and 100m IM – age 9/over for times only – no points, no awards.
IMPORTANT: This gala is only to target Cumbria Age Groups qualifying times.
Numbers may need to be restricted to those who have not already achieved qualifying times in these events.

The Ulverston ASC AGM will be held on Monday 26th November at 6.30pm. All swimmers’ parents/carers are welcome but only adult club members are entitled to vote. Reports and agenda will be circulated by 12th November. Any proposals for discussion at the AGM must be with the Secretary by 5th November, proposed and seconded.
WARM UP TIMES 9AM AND 1.15PM – PLEASE BE ON POOLSIDE 15 MINS BEFORE. EMAIL OR TEXT JULIET secretary@uasc.me.uk if you need to withdraw a swimmer or are running late – see Caroline’s email on Thursday.
Age 9/over – all strokes/distances (except 800/1500m) covered over the two days. Just choose certain sessions if you don’t want to be there all weekend. Please take advice from your child’s coach about which events to target.
Don’t miss this Cumbria gala – for those seeking to obtain or improve on County Age Group qualifying times. Upper limit times will apply (swimmer must not have swum faster than these times). This is to allow those who have not yet got Age Group times to have the chance to get them.
Parents usually stay at the Premier Inn at Howgate near Whitehaven.
STOP PRESS: THE FUN GALA IS SADLY CANCELLED DUE TO A BOILER BREAKDOWN AT THE POOL, PRESENTATION/PARTY NIGHT GOES AHEAD AT 6PM
We will try to find a free Saturday in early 2019 to re-schedule the Fun Gala as I know lots of swimmers will be disappointed.
